Jeanne Bieruma-Oosting was born in Leeuwarden on 5 February 1898 and died in Almen on 14 July 1994.
Attended the school of decorative arts in Haarlem in 1917-1918, the academy of fine arts in The Hague from 1926-1929 and the Académie de la Grande Chamière in Paris in 1929 and Atelier 17 in Paris in 1935. Pupil of Jessurun de Mesquita, Willem van Konijnenburg and F.T. Grabijn.
Won several awards with her work.
Member of Pulchri Studio, Arti et Amicitiae, the Dutch ‘Aquarellisten Kring’ and De Grafische.
