French great master glassmaker.
Exceptional and rare purse vase with a wide wavy collar in blown glass, enhanced with golden thistles, Pompeii guilloché bottom.
The outside of the vase is fully engraved, it is smooth on the inside.
This Pompeii guilloché background shows a decor of feathers, flowers, and leaves in colourless, white, brown and red tones.
Guilloche is a technique used by LEGRAS between 1888 and 1900 on rare pieces that are never signed.
This type of decoration is reproduced in the Catalogue Raisonné MICHEL/VITRAT on pages 314, 316, and 317.
Art Nouveau period 1888-1900.
Superb piece meant for collectors.

In excellent condition, no cracks, lacks, or restorations.
A very slight patina of time on some gilded parts.
