The two 'Cesca' chairs proposed in this lot, made by the Gavina spa company of San Lazzaro di Savena (Italy) at the end of the 1960s, are almost unobtainable. Dino Gavina in 1968 in New York convinced Marcel Breuer to put the Cesca chair into production, which he designed in 1928. Supporting frame in mannesmann-type continuous tubular steel, folded to give shape to the chair and then chromed. The seat and back are made of a black lacquered wooden frame and a secondary frame in Vienna straw. Labels present under the seats, demonstrating their originality (which are slightly deteriorated). The chairs are in good condition, with small age-related defects, have a nice patina, see the detailed photos, to be appreciated as a collector's item. They furnished a closed showroom. Width: 47 cm.
