Lucien Félix Henry (born in Sisteron (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) on 22nd May 1850 and died in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat (Haute-Vienne) on 10th March 1896, is a French painter, active in the National School of Fine Art in Paris. Lucien Henry arrived in Paris in 1867 to study and became the model of the painter and sculptor Jean-Léon Gérôme. He was a colonel in the Communard army and sentenced to death in 1872. Sentence commuted to deportation to New Caledonia, pardoned in 1878, he returned to France . His paintings are very bright and sought after by collectors around the world, present in many museums and galleries.
