This set of Julian Opie portraits was commissioned for the cover of Blur: the best of (2000). The four separate panels are the individual portraits of Damon Albarn, Alex James, Graham Coxon and Dave Rowntree. The panels where originally produced as promotional items to advertise the album launch in music stores. These items come from a private collection and where never for sale or intended to be collected as products simply temporary promotional items to be used in a store display, making them incredibly rare collectors items. They are large, each measuring 40 by 40cm each and are printed on thick card approx 3m thick (image with euro coin added for size reference). There is a fifth panel which features the official branding of the album and Blur / Opie collaboration, which acts as authentication of the portrait panels.
