Seated Buddha statue in monkeywood/acacia wood.
The handmade Buddha was carved from monkeywood/acacia wood and decorated with delicate mosaic work, it has glass eyes and is very detailed.
The historical Buddha Siddharta Gautama, portrayed as Shakyamuni, attained enlightenment while meditating under a bhodi tree. The Bhumisparsha Mudra, the gesture of enlightenment and touching the earth, is characteristic of the Shakyamuni Buddha. The right hand rests above the knee while the fingertips touch the ground. The left hand rests in the lap with the palm open upwards.

colour abrasion, small chip on the finger, the hand in the lap is secured with a small pin nail,
