Lived and worked in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Düsseldorf and Rotterdam.
Educated at the Queillinius school in Amsterdam and further formed itself. He painted ships, harbourscapes, landscapes and still lifes.
A nice early work by this good port painter. This is probably about Amsterdam.
The painting has been covered in the past but it still has some visible damage left on the left centre on the side. Otherwise, it is in reasonably good condition.
