Old original Jingasa Samurai Helmet with gold makie family crest of the Takeda Clan 武田氏
Japan, Edo period, ca. 1800
This is a military hat that Samurai (Bushi) of the Takeda clan used to wear. The Takeda clan was active from the late Heian period until the late 16th century.
