Engraving by Aegidius Sadeler (1570-1629), Flemish painter and engraver. Son of Aegidius I, greatest engraver of the Sadeler family. Trained in Antwerp; c.1579 to Cologne; c.1588 to Munich; in Italy (Rome 1593, Verona, Venice 1595-7), 1597 in Prague at the court of Rudolph II. Died in Prague.
Production date: 1600-1627.
Latin lettering: O quam te memorem? Matrem? Cui molla corda obsidet infantum, ast hi tibi pectus, amor? Sum charis eque tribus postrema, ac maior amictum et queis lac natis defit, opemque damus. Cum pruil. S.C.Mtis and Ægidio Sadeler Inuentor et Sculpscit.
