Up for auction from my typewriter collection: a HEADY Portable with folding lever and case. The "Heady" was built after the end of the First World War in France from 1921 onwards, based on the model of the Mignon. However, the “Heady”was made of aluminium and was significantly lighter than the Mignon. It is a hand-set machine with type cylinder and top strike. Its operation is consistent with the Mignon. The special feature of this Heady is the back button and the folding gallows, which could be folded in for transport to reduce the height of the typewriter. In the front of the case, two pockets to safely transport extra type cylinders. The ink ribbon is dry.
