Wood covered with tanned leather bearing tooled decoration around its edges and joints, and lined on its underside with linen stuffed with wool, its forepart rising to a central rounded pommel (worn) and fitted to either side of it with a semi-circular bow-plate, and its rear rising to a low broad cantle, each side fitted with an iron stirrup suspended from a strap and formed with a tread of three bars, and the space in front of the bow-plates each fitted
with an iron staple to attach the holsters; restorations.
