Beautiful, original and very early etching from 1906 by Jules De Bruycker, with a beautiful depiction of an old horse, cynically called "pariah".
Although it is one of Jules De Bruycker's first etchings - 1906 is the year in which De Bruycker starts etching - his mastery is already clearly noticeable.
Signed on the lower right, titled on the bottom left. Also signed dated 1906 in the plate.
On the back of the etching an old label is hanging of the well-known Galerie Georges Giroux. Rare.
Jules De Bruycker (Ghent 1870 - 1945), like James Ensor, is considered one of the most important Flemish etchers.
He was a virtuoso with the etching technique and therefore particularly loved by a large audience of art enthusiasts and collectors.
This pretty, early etching by De Bruycker is extremely well handled and shipped with track & trace.
