Beautiful piece of my collection inherited from my father period of acquisition 1970 Italy.
This piece was masterfully carved in high relief, of a large block of lapis lazuli.
The size is 12.2 cm high, 8 cm wide, 2.5 cm deep
Very heavy piece about 400 grams
Representation of the Roman emperor Nero.
The photographs do not do justice to the extreme quality and beauty of the piece.
A true museum quality, a masterpiece in all respects!
Purchased by my father from a European collector, he said they were found in the early 20th century.
Period probably early 19th century.
This piece will be packed with care.
