Egon Hillebrand - A model 7377 Black and Chrome Mushroom Table lamp [Art Deco].
This large, heavy designer lamp was designed and produced in the 1960s-1970s by the lighting company “Hillebrand Leuchtenfabrik”. Because of the beautiful combination of the black coating and the chromework, and also because of its design, this lamp has the style characteristic of the Art Deco period. Both the stand and the base are made out of chromed metal, and the stand seems to have been inserted through the lampshade. The large lamp-shade is white on the inside, so that the lamp emits a nice diffused light.
The German Hillebrand Leuchtenfabrik has collaborated with renowned designers such as Heinz Georg Pfaender, Ernest Igl, Odo Klose and has received numerous design awards over the years, including several prestigious iF-design awards.
The chrome is still beautiful and shiny. The lamp-shade originally has a roughened surface. Only has some minor superficial imperfections - these are not disturbing - please see the last photo. The cord is equipped with an on/off switch (original) and at the bottom of the foot there is a soft felt lining to avoid damage to furniture.
Measurements are: Height: 51 cm, Diameter lampshade: 41 cm and Diameter base: 19 cm.
With 3 x E27 light fittings (Incandescent light-bulbs not included).
A timeless and iconic Art Deco designer lamp that fits into anyone's interior.
