Henri Joseph Pauwels (Haasdonk 1903 - Beveren - Waas 1983) was a Belgian painter of decorative landscapes, interiors, marines and port views of Antwerp. In a poetic and optimistic sometimes very virtuoso post-impressionist style with loose brushwork and bright colours.

Pauwels expressed himself using the landscapes of the Waasland. Pauwels had a preference for classical landscapes, navy scenes, harbour views of Antwerp and interiors. Henri Joseph Pauwels painted all this with slight impressionistic brushwork.
