Vintage Italian puppet representing a knight of the Opera Dei Pupi (Sicilian Puppet Theatre). Craft production (made in Taormina, Sicily). Carved and painted wooden face. The puppet is suspended from the central stem, the other rod manoeuvres the hand and arm. The head is suspended and swivelling. The Paladins were the greatest warriors of the court of Charlemagne. The paladins Orlando and Rinaldo in love with Angelica were rivals. Dimensions: height: 30 cm and total height: 40 cm Vintage, preserved in good condition.
