Kabuto - Metal lacado y madera - Samurai - Red lacquered 18 th century zunari-kabuto helmet with large Shi-shi maedate - Japón - Periodo Edo (1600-1868)

Red lacquered 18 th century zunari-kabuto helmet with three neckguards (shikoro); small fukigaeshi with in gold makie-lacquer vine-leaves inside a circle crest (maru ni tsuta mon). The helmet in nice original unrestored condition with loss of lacquer. More specifically on the fukigaeshi. In front of the helmet is an exceptional maedate in the shape of gilded wooden monster head (Shi-shi late Edo period) that covers most of the front part of the helmet.
