I offer a nice collection of 9 sake cups (sakazuki) and 3 pitchers.
Such cups were commissioned by the soldiers for various purposes mainly to commemorate various milestones such as victories, enlistment to return from overseas assignment, completion of military service...
Most military sake cups date from the 20s-30s when Japan was fighting in China.
Each cup is a mini time capsule with some mentioning the owner name and regiment inscribed. various decorations: Imperial flags and insigna, cherry blossom (symbols of fragility and transience of life).
In good conditions, one with minor chipped part, some signs of wearing as seen in the pictures.
Variable sizes 3x6cm for the smaller cups to 16x6cm for the tallest pitcher.
Items are in the European Union, therefore no hidden import taxes within the EU.
