Beautiful, unique, museum-quality colonial fascist parade baton!
This item is a fantastic piece of Italian history and fascist dictatorship from a prominent collection-museum of the United States!
Parade baton supplied to fascist troops during the Italian occupation in Ethiopia. However, the practical purpose of this item was severely limited, as pieces of such craftmanship were reserved exclusively for parades and military demonstrations organized by the regime.
The baton features gorgeous and characteristic elements such as the imperial eagle with unfolded wings at its tip and, below, the fasces lictoriae, pivotal symbol of fascist dictatorship. The baton is made of top quality resistant wood, shown by the fact that it is not in any way worn and does not have any holes.
The lower part is reinforced with a sort of iron cover and decoated at the top with an interesting engraving with the inscription "1936 XI", indicating the year of the foundation of the Italian Empire by Benito Mussolini. The baton still has the characteristic durable leather loop that was secured on uniform belts.
An object of great historical importance, never seen before, unique and of spectacular workmanship. One of the rarest and most interesting objects in fascist history. You won't find another item like this!
