Cream colored wool WWII army medical blanket with maroon stripe at each end, maroon lettering: "M.D. U.S. Army 1944" and maroon serged stitching on both ends.
Used to protect, suppress discomfort, and preserve body temperature. These covers were extensively used by the Medical Department to protect patients against any possible discomfort, maintain their body warmth, and sometimes even helped prevent shock.
The United States Medical Department, always used blankets in the past, and continued to do so during the Great War (WWI) and in World War II.
Due to the weight of the blanket I’ve sent the postage at €15.
