Very large bronze representing a Buddhist monk from the Rattanakosin period, Rama 3 (1824-1851), Thailand.

Very heavy piece, more than 40 kg and 53 cm high by 56 wide.

High quality piece, sublime details. Sitting on his pyramidal throne appropriate for the Rattanakosin period, this monk is sitting taking the earth as a witness. Lacquered in a brownish hue on the body, everything else is completely covered with gold leaf and red pigment in some places.

Authentic piece and very high quality.
