A truly unique sample of Lapis lazuli, a stone already recognized as precious by the ancient Egyptians.
It is a rock formed by more minerals: most part it’s Lazulite, then Calcite and finally Pyrite that gives shine and brilliance to the Lapis with its typical golden colour.
Since ancient times this stone has been very sought-after, as it was the source of the blue colour for all frescoes, with a cost comparable to gold, because the main deposits were located and still are in Afghanistan.
A natural free form but worked to show at best the intense shades of colours: a home design object not to be missed!
