Stunning bamboo brush holder finely sculpted within a round frame depicting Rakan, gold and silver maki-e lacquer decorations with bamboo and floral and landscape motifs.
Decorator signature with Kao Shingyoku and carver signature with Toshiaki.

Edo period (early 19th century).
In great condition.
