Large Manju netsuke in elephant ivory with eight masks depicting mythological figures from Nōh and Kyōgen theatres, such as Okina, Hannya, Usofuki, Okame and the rare Kitsune. Inlaid eyes in bronze or black horn.

Original certificate compiled by Luca Mastromauro, an expert in Japanese art, registered with Milan Chamber of Commerce (number: 2617), which will be sent with the lot.
Copy of certificate of antiquity to be included with the item, which conforms with the international CITES regulations, drawn up by CESAR centre of studies for archaeometry with offices in London, Milan and Rome. The original is only available upon request.
