Ritual Pole presenting two figures, sitting back to back on the top part, surmounting the stylised elephant and the rider, framed by a structure straddling its mount with serenity.

This is a commemorative pole intended for a festivity of merit.

Eroded and patinated wood, due to the age and bad weather.

Burma (Myanmar), Kachin or Wa peoples.

Middle of the 19th century/Around 1860.
