The ceramics by Claudio Pulicati have a close connection to the place they are made in; as a matter of fact, they try to sublimate the essence of Ischia Island, its elements and history. Each object carries the call, the resonance of a magical, mythological and powerful place within.
"all it takes to move the air is a flower"
This sentence originated the design of Gea, a single-flower vase with a typical thick shell, a rough skin, apparently insensitive to life, which can, however, hide a blooming cavity. This vase is a metaphor of a germinal place, a space of metamorphosis and introspection.
The barren rock of a frightening and murderous volcano turns into a refuge, a place of love that holds a flower.
Gea is available in ivory-white, blue, coral pink, yellow, red, black and violet.
It was designed in three dimensions: small, medium, large.
Each vase is entirely handmade in numbered series.
