Four ancient moulds called "tiles" for fruit jellies or ‘mostata’, a typical Sicilian desserts, dating back to the 18th century.
Each mould has a figure that appears in relief on the jellies once they are removed. The moulds are particularly interesting both for their extended shape and for the rarity of the featured images.
The lot consists of:
- fish 4x17x9 cm
- leaf 4x17x10 cm
- name of woman in Sicilian dialect 4x16x9 cm
- child 3x11x7 cm
Despite being old and used, the moulds are in very good condition.
