Spectacular tooth of Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, measuring 8.8 cm long, 3.6 cm wide and 2 cm thick. The tooth has original enamel on both sides, well-preserved and highly detailed saws, and a very robust root. The tip is a little worn from the use of the animal.
Carcharodontosaurus was a carnivorous theropod dinosaur, larger than T. rex, with a mouth full of curved serrated teeth. It is also known as "African T-Rex".
