Icono, Icono de viaje, Deesis (2) - Bronce (dorado) - Principios del siglo XIX

Antique and rare pair of the two Archangels Michael and Gabriel, highly crafted bronze from the end of the 18th century, part of a bronze Deesis. They still retain remnants of an old gilding. The two archangels face each other looking towards the centre where there used to be another religious image of a Pantocrator. The two bronzes are placed (not glued!) on a panel with a 'mecca' gilded frame. Dimensions of the bronzes side by side: width 30.5, height 22 cm. Frame width: 43 cm; frame height: 34 cm.
