MILLESIMATO ORO 1962
Acetaia Sereni is a leader in the production of Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena D.O.P., Aceto Balsamico di Modena I.G.P. and a wide range of bittersweet seasonings.
The company is located in the village of Marano sul Panaro, in the picturesque hills of Villabianca, in the province of Modena. In the green of wine and olive groves farms, this area knows no industrial pollution. Here the succession of atmospheric events repeats, unaffected, the ancient course that for centuries serves as indissoluble support to the natural production and maturation of an extraordinary Balsamic Vinegar.
The MILLESIMATO ORO has roots back in 1962 when Nonna Santina, the first producer of the Sereni family, on the occasion of the birth of her grandson, began to age the cooked must produced that year in four barrels, three for aging and one for the reinforcement. In 2013 the four precious barrels were found in the old family fir tree.
The discovery leads to the creation of the ‘Balsamico Millesimato’, so named because the raw material comes from the harvest of 1962.
A real ‘Food Jewel’, unique in the world, in a limited and numbered production.
