Rare chair made by Italian company Vibrazioni Art Design, Easydora model, item number 26.
Entirely handmade in steel. The legs were fashioned by welding and folding steel plates while the backrest was fashioned by beating and shaping industrial barrels using imported scraps from various industries throughout the world.
The idea came about in 2013 when inventive craftsmen decided to give new life to those colourful, screen-printed barrels, that, while dirty, greasy and used, had many stories to tell. In this way, things that were used materials to be discarded were suddenly transformed into raw material, ready to be worked and transformed into important pieces of art and design.
It is precisely for this reason that each item created by the company is unique. It would be impossible to find the same lettering or parts of the barrels with the same scratches and flaws.
After a few years of production the company practically ceased production of furniture accessories and has shifted their focus onto the production of motorcycle fuel tanks.
Every accessory in the collection is furnished with a metallic nameplate engraved with the brand, model and serial number (176).
Among the photos you can find some pages from the original catalogue containing details of the history of the company and project. The last photo depicts the kitchen of Antonella Clerici where you can see stools also made by Vibrazioni Art Design.
