Special piece of furniture made by a master furniture maker from the 19th century.
Biedermeijer sewing table with hinged flap.
2 removable drawers with each a copper closing mechanism (keys are present).
Inside top drawer very nice inlays ( in the form of star-shaped intarsia ) on the 6 lids with copper knobs in the middle. The front lid has a curved shape and is folded outwards. Then a small ornate pin cushion becomes visible. Behind it a small dark-coloured half-round lid on which needles can be placed. This lid is removable to reach the small storage space below.
Legs with beautiful engraving and carving. Top slightly curved. Doesn't close properly on lock of drawer anymore. Small discolouration front drawers. Otherwise sturdy.
Will be shipped registered.
Transport is possible by arrangement.
