Antoon Markus (1870-1955) - De Fliert

In perfect condition; painting by Antoon Markus.
Signed on the bottom left and on verso.
Also the text "De Fliert fecit 31-01-1928".

Searched the internet to find that De Fliert is a nature reserve near Twello in Gelderland.
It is known that Markus has made many paintings in this region.
In heavily executed authentic wooden frame.

In one of the photos, the painter Antoon Markus can be seen in his book (not included) titled
“zwerver, bohemien en kunstenaar”.
