Tongzhi porcelain is Chinese porcelain from during the reign of the Qing dynasty under emperor Tongzhi, who saw to the reconstruction of Jingdezhen's official ovens after the Taiping uprising of the 1850s and later the cities of Nanjing and Jingdezhen were completely destroyed.
The dishes or bowls are both in perfect condition and they both feature an image of a bird sitting on the branch of a prunus tree. Next to the white edition the other bowl has a nearly celadon-coloured look.
