About the show:

Amsterdam’s weapon consists of red, black and 3 white crosses, each cross stands for something. Triple x is a show inspired completely by Tom’s love for graffiti and the adventures it’s brought him. Graffiti has been undeniably connected to the big cities. In this show the connection is found through the birthplace of the scene; New York City, USA and the artists birthplace; Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Works inspired by the history of the scene and the city maps takes you on a visual adventure translated to large painted canvases.

Tom Kiewra lives and breathes Amsterdam. He was born and raised in the city, so already from a young age he was invested in Amsterdam’s street life. Kiewra found himself fascinated over street art and graffiti, and this is where his first love for lettering was born.

He frequently went on adventure into the night, armed with a backpack full of spray-cans. Later Tom Kiewra found a career as a graphic designer, never letting go of his fascination for typography and lettering. He gets his inspiration from street art and music, and finds his outlet with anything and everything you can write with.
