Born in Mont-de-Marsan in the French Landes, on 3 October 1909, Rob Roy (pseudonym created from the initials of his name Robert de la Riviere) was, from his youth, a crazy lover of cars and drawing.

Rob Roy never stopped drawing, painting and sketching all the events in his life. It was an instinctive need which led him to perfect his observation skills, for a better perception of the moment, motion and action. Thanks to this gift, he knew how to bring to life the competition cars of the golden years, the Vintages, and thus left an illustrious testimony of the time.
