A nice pair of Daito and Shoto in well preservced late Edo Take Tora (Tiger and Bamboo) themed Koshirae. Tsuka Ito is silk.

The Daito was forged by Morikuni Fujiwara in early Edo. He is rooted in the Yamato-Den and was a student of Hirokane. The Hamon is Suguha(Ko-Nie) and Boshi is Ko-Maru. Kissaki is Chu.Kitae is Ko-Itame well with fine Ji-nie. The blade has new NBTHK Hozon papers.

The Hirazukuri shaped Shoto was forged by the Seki smith Kanehisa in the late Muromachi period. The Hamon is Notare Gonome midare. There are some Ware and Ji-hare.
