Yondai Tadayoshi was the son of sandai Tadayoshi.
His family name is 橋本 Hashimoto, as his own name he used 源助 Gensuke, 新左衛門 Shinsaemon and 新左武郎 Shinsaburō.
He was born in 寛文八年生 Kanbun 8, 1668 and died in 延享四年九月五日没 Enkyō yon nen ku gatsu go hi, 5 september 1747.
Since the signature is Ōmi Daijō Fujiwara Tadayoshi, and noting that Yondai Tadayoshi obtained the title of Omi Daijō on 元禄十三年三月十日 Genroku ju san nen san gatsu ju hi, March 10, 1700 and signed in this way only after 1709 , it can be said that this wakizashi was made after 1709.
Yondai Tadayoshi is considered among the jō saku class of swordsmiths.
His swords are considered to be ryō wazamono.
