Beautiful 'Ingrid' Vase by Lalique. Design #12289 created by Marc Lalique in the 1960s and hand-crafted in Lalique's workshops in France. The retail price at the time was about $3750 / 3080. Signed underneath the vase 'Lalique France'. The vase is in excellent condition. There are very few small slight scratches on the inside, the rest is in perfect condition. Sold with its Lalique box pictured. Marc’s design is a sensual blend of frosted and smooth glass complimented by delicately formed fluid lines. There are four large frosted leaves carved into the vase and rising up from its base. The leaves are separated by clear crystal. René Lalique founded the company and managed it until WWII. He died in 1945 and was succeeded by his son Marc. Marc switched the formula from 12% lead crystal to 24% lead crystal. This made the products much brighter, sparkling, transparent, and heavier.
